Velma Ann Markle, 82, passed away on April 4, 2023 in Logandale, NV. She was born on October 27, 1940 in Rawlins, WY to Artie Velmo Morrow and Anna Ida Moles.

Ann left home at sixteen and moved to Las Vegas, NV where she attended night school to gain her GED and worked at Paul’s Donuts. She later started working at Nevada State Bank as a teller. She met a courier from Frontier Financial named Carl Richard Markle, and after a few times, Carl asked her out; and they were soon married on November 3, 1963 in Las Vegas, NV.

In 1964, Ann began working at the Southern Nevada Health District, and later retired after forty-four years. She started at the bottom and proved herself to rise to management. She is responsible for recruiting and mentoring many of the staff that works there today. She worked diligently to petition for the benefit of the employees. She made many lasting friendships while working there.

Ann was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings. She was a doer and a giver, and always looked for ways to serve others. She would always put others first, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Ann is survived by her husband, Carl Markle; her children: Peter (Angie) Markle, Shawnee (Kyle) Cardinal, and Joshua (Jessica) Markle; twelve grandchildren: Kevin, Klint, Austin, Karsen, Shayna, Kelci, Lexi, Perry, Alexis, Kambree, Angelina, and Tanner; three great-grandchildren: Shiloh, Klay, and Adalynn; and many loved ones and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Jason Markle; her parents; and her siblings: Iris, Geraldine “Gerry”, and William “Bill”.
