The Zephyr Singers will perform a local concert on Saturday, April 29 at 7 pm in the Logandale Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3245 N. Moapa Valley Blvd.
The group will also be performing as special guests in the St. George Tabernacle on Tuesday, April 25 at 7 pm Mountain Daylight Time.
The theme of this year’s spring concert will be ‘Americana.’Both concerts will be under the direction of Gaye Nelson.
The group will sing American favorites, such as Let All the World in Every Corner Sing, Beautiful Savior, Alleluia, Gentle Annie, and traditional spiritual features, The Battle of Jericho and Kumbaya.
Guest instrumentalists will join in Bring Him Home from Les Miserables; Londonderry Air with Walter White on violin and Gaye Nelson on piano; Amazing Grace with Brent Pettit on cello and Ashokan Farewell also featured Pettit with Sherrie Whitney on piano; and America the Beautiful with Kim Delgadillo on French Horn.
These performances are free concerts and open to the public. All are welcome.
