The City of Mesquite has recently welcomed another new business which promises to satisfy event the thirstiest sweet tooth out there. Fizz Bizz is an Idaho-based soda shop that also sells snack foods and Italian ice!

Fizz Bizz got its origins in Rigby, Idaho. The company was Becca Madsen’s idea and she spent her time starting up the brand. Madsen’s partner is her sister-in-law Kori Madsen who serves as director of stores.

Fizz Bizz has numerous locations all over the state of Idaho, but the new shop in Mesquite is the very first outside of the Gem State. New owner Lyndsay Piazza was able to attend “Fizzness School” where she learned the basics of operating a Fizz Bizz over the course of 5 long days from 6am to 11pm each day. Fizzness School prepared Piazza for her own shop’s grand opening earlier this month.

“A lot of hard work went into opening the shop,” Piazza said, “Our most important goal is to be giving back to the community!”

If you missed the opening, fear not! Fizz always offers a “Tasty Tuesday” deal on hot foods from 2-4 pm and a “Thirsty Thursday” deal where drinks are $1 with the option to pay for additional mix-ins from 9-11 am.

Along with the shop, The Fizz Bizzmobile aka “The Truck” has been popping up at many community and sporting events around town since its beginnings in December. The Truck has made its rounds to the Clark County Fair, flag football games, and numerous other community gatherings; offering a refreshing drink and great customer service, Fizz Bizz serves with a smile.

Fizz Bizz has made the community of Virgin Valley a priority. This has been apparent with its arrangement with the Virgin Valley High School baseball and softball teams. The Truck sells drinks at the home ball games and then donates ten percent of all the profits to help fund both teams. Fizz also donated a drink to all the state champions of the winter seasons.

“We have really wanted to focus on the community and giving back,” said Piazza, “We try to keep everything as local as possible!”

The locals are at the heart of Fizz Bizz. The cookies are brought in from Hole Foods Bakery to help support other local businesses in town, and Piazza made an effort to staff younger teens in the valley.
“We wanted to hire everybody locally,” Piazza said, “We wanted to make sure jobs stayed focused on teaching kids customer service skills.”

Piazza noticed a struggle in some of the younger generation’s social skills since being fully online during the pandemic. So she made it a point to hire students from Virgin Valley High School in order to mentor the kids on great customer service.

Fizz Bizz also offers a fun-loving atmosphere! With bright yellow walls and neon colored epoxy flooring, Fizz is definitely the place to be!

Fizz Bizz is located at 325 N. Sandhill Blvd. in Mesquite. They offers catering for parties, office events, and banquets with different packages that don’t break the bank! For more information call 702-550-7005 or go to fizzbizzdrinks.com.
