The fourth annual Indoor Summer Market at the BeBrave gym facility in Mesquite drew a large crowd of shoppers last weekend.

The two-day event opened on Friday evening from 4-8 pm, and continued on Saturday from 10am – 4 pm.

Co-owner Haylee Benglan reported that the event drew about 400 attendees on each day of the market. There were forty vendors selling goods or passing out information.
“I love coming here and being inside to shop,” said attendee Mary Posey.
“It is like being at a buffet,” added Posey’s shopping buddy Kathy Maystadt. “We go around once to see what is being offered and then again to make our choices.”

Market vendor Trish Lake was selling her clever creative gnomes at the event. “There has been a good crowd attending,” Lake said. “It is worthwhile coming to this event especially because it is inside.”

Attendees could find a variety of different products on sale from Tupperware to self-defense instruction and personal safety items. Friendly local craftsmen were on hand socializing along with selling their crafts.

Three food vendors were in attendance in the parking lot to keep people fed. These included Da Braddahz Grindz Aloha Food, Sugar on Top sweets & drink, and Tiny’s Mexican food.

Marge Mongolo, Krista Kilpatrick and her mom Dory Kilpatrick were having a fun time visiting the vendor tables. This was their first time to the Summer Market, having recently moved to Mesquite from San Diego, California.

Bebrave was also selling raffle tickets for prizes donated to them from local businesses.
“The Market Place has turned out to be so successful, both for us and the vendors,” Benglan said. “We plan to have another Market place in the Fall and at Christmas Time. The money we make from this market helps to keep Bebrave Athletics open during the summer.”
