MV Car Show Rolls Into Town This Weekend

The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold its 23rd annual Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Clark County Fairgrounds, 1301 Whipple Ave in Logandale. The show will be held from 8 am until 2 pm.

If you think this is the same old run-of-the-mill event that has been held in the past, think again.

This year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever, said Chamber president Bernie Conrique.
“For starters, this year we have decided to move our show from Overton Park to the fairgrounds,” Conrique said. “We want this to be a family fun event – a place where people can gather together, and the Fairgrounds offers a much larger space to do that.”
“There is more room, better parking, more facilities, more power for the food trucks and vendors, and we can be more organized,” Conrique added.

Also new for this year is a Jeep category. Other categories include: Classes by year – stock or modified, under construction, open header contest, as well as the Dan Bailey “Rat Rod” award which began in 2021 after car enthusiast and former local resident Bailey passed away.

The event promises to have something for everyone, even those who aren’t so hot on cars. A kids bounce house will be available. Local DJ Ricky Houston and his daughter Alicia Bush will entertain the crowd with music and announcements. An automotive swap meet area is planned to draw the car crowd. A myriad of vendors will be on hand to allow attendees to shop till they drop. And multiple food trucks will be serving up breakfast and lunch during the show.

“Everyone is invited to stop by the Fairgrounds to check out some cool vehicles, shop and eat,” Conrique said. “You’ll be glad you did!”

There is no admission cost for the general public to attend this yearly event.
