Mesquite Police responded to an injury accident at the Oasis Blvd. and Ivy Lee Crest roundabout on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at about 5:15 pm.
A 69-year-old male was walking eastbound at the entrance to the roundabout when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Oasis Blvd.
Mesquite Police and Fire Units quickly arrived on scene and began lifesaving efforts.
The pedestrian was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital.
Unfortunately, all life-saving efforts were unsuccessful, and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased. His name will be released at a later time by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Due to the pedestrian fatality, the Nevada Highway Patrol Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team assisted Mesquite Police in the accident reconstruction.
Further details of the accident will be released pending the final report from NHP.
