Norman Ernest Vielmette
Norman “Stormmn” Ernest Vielmette, 80, passed away November 11, 2023 in Mesquite, NV. He was born in Portland, OR on April 17, 1943.
After graduating from Seaside High School and serving in the U.S. Army/Army National Guard, he resided for many years in Estacada, OR, working for Cascade Utilities. Nearing retirement, he transferred to Reliance Connects in Mesquite, NV, where the warm weather and the community of Sunset Greens enticed him to call Mesquite home.
Norm was well-known to be both talkative and quick witted. He truly loved his friends, his close family and his dogs. Always active, Norm enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, bird hunting, golfing, bowling, playing cards, and anything that involved an engine or working with his hands.
Norm is survived by his wife, Peggy Vielmette; his sister, Carol Barr; his children and step-children: Ken (Shannon) Vielmette, Cheryl Nutt, and John (Diane) Nutt; and six grandchildren: Nathan, Tabitha, Joshua, Joanna, Jakob, and Breanna.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Natalie Vielmetti; his uncle, Norman C. Vielmette; and, his step-son, Patrick Nutt.
A celebration of life will be held on December 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Mesa Valley Estates Assisted Living in Mesquite, NV.
