The Progress
Rooster Cottage Consignment Gallery in Mesquite, held its annual Open house and Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, November 18. A large turnout of new and existing Rooster Cottage customers enjoyed a beautiful day in the local shop and also checking out the wares of various vendors in the outdoor area in front of the store.
Rooster Cottage celebrates its customers and recognizes all of the local support it receives by holding this Customer Appreciation Day every six months. The event includes fun activities and raffles to get involved in the community.
Area artists often visit the events to show off their works in vendor booths and even sell their pieces to attendees.
On Saturday bags of popcorn, water, and an opportunity to join a drawing for prizes were offered.
Rooster Cottage has been in business since May 9, 2011. The locally-owned and operated store focuses on selling consignment furniture. But it also has a gift shop with new items to check out! All of these items are nicely displayed throughout the store, helping to catch customers’ eyes.
Carol and Dana Bulloch are the co-owners and cousins-in-law. These two and the other employees of the store work together to give customers a great experience when visiting.
“My favorite thing about working at Roosters Cottage is meeting new people in the community and seeing all of the fun pieces that come in to sell in the store,” saids Dana. “I have to admit that sometimes it is sad seeing items that I really like, and am used to seeing here, leave the store with customers.”
With many new pieces of furniture coming in and out, open houses are a great opportunity to check out all of these pieces and potentially find an item you love, Dana said.
