PASTORAL MESSAGE: The Peace of God

Are you interested in Peace With God or The Peace of God? The Good News is that both are available to you at no charge because Jesus has already paid the price for you on Calvary’s Cross.

Yes, Jesus the Prince of Peace made it possible for you to be at Peace with God, no longer enemies but friends, and not just friends but Family, Children of God. He also paid the price so that you could enjoy the very Peace of God that sets your heart and mind at ease in the midst of any and every situation or circumstance of life, the Apostle Paul in Philippians calls this the “peace that passes all understanding.”

All of this is possible because over 2,000 years ago in the Person of His Son Jesus Christ God Himself penetrated the human scene and launched the Messiah Mission, the most daring Jail Break and Significant Rescue Mission in the History of Mankind.

It was God Himself putting on flesh and coming to earth to free mankind from the chains and clutches of Satan’s Slave House of sin.

The Messiah Mission was In fulfillment of five hundred year old prophecies that Jesus would be born of a virgin in Bethlehem, live a sinless life, die a sacrificial death on Calvary’s cross, and after laying dead for three days in a borrowed tomb, He would rise in triumph and victory over sin, death and the grave.

Over the next forty days He was seen by over five hundred individuals and then in the sight of many ascended into heaven with angels proclaiming that He would come again in the same manner that they had seen Him go into heaven.

This is the Gospel, the Good News that we Celebrate at Christmas and every day as we anticipate our Lords soon return.

And while we wait for His return we by faith claim His promised salvation or peace with God described in Ephesians 2:8-9 “for by Grace we are saved through faith, and that not of ourselves, It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

And as an added plus we are privileged to enjoy the very Peace of God that is able to keep us stress free and relaxing in the love of Jesus the Prince of Peace, every minute of every day.
