LETTER: How dare we criticize Trump?

TDS? Libtard? These are terms that Mr. Biller (Yellow Journalism: The Progress, Feb. 14) and the MAGAts throw out at anyone who dares criticize the Orange Messiah.

How dare we criticize someone who calls veterans like me suckers, committed five crimes by lying to the draft board, and threatened his oldest son that he would be disowned if he joined the military?

How dare we criticize someone for believing Putin over our own intelligence agencies, promises to get us out of NATO, and supports Russia in its quest to retake Eastern Europe?

How dare we criticize a life-long liar, a convicted rapist, a person who committed fraud, a person who claims to be a billionaire but has to ask poor people for money, and who would never let those same people anywhere near his properties? How dare we?

Mr. Robson is entitled to his opinion (From the Editor’s Desk: The Progress, Feb. 7). An editorial is his opinion.

There are over 1,000 people in prison who believed the big lie and came to Washington on 1/6. Their lives were ruined.

We will remember the Big Lie this November.
Say no to fascism!

  1. The sad part of this comment is that Mr. Petrillo is absolutely right. Mr. Trump has proven himself a fraud and a liar many, many times over decades. He manipulates the legal system, the financial system, religious institutions for his own benefit without shame or remorse. He has repeatedly shown he cannot be trusted and follows in the footsteps of Bernie Madoff and Jeffery Epstein. His idols are Adolph Hitler and Vladamir Putin. Do we really want to trust our country to someone as dangerous as this? This is not about Republicans or Democrats, it is about our country, our morality and our values.

  2. It’s amazing and heartbreaking to me that trump remains the Republican nominee. While opinion pieces should be welcome in our press, our people need the critical thinking skills to be able to absorb the facts, and the willingness to change your own mindset.
