Gerald Herbert Adams

Gerald (Jerry)Herbert Adams passed away February 9, 2024, just 2 days short of his 80th birthday. He was born to Ruben Gartner and Lorena Adams in Bottineau ND on February 11, 1944. He graduated high school in Minot ND. He married Arvadell (Pat) Stein in 1964 and was blessed with two children, Todd and Dawn.

Jerry was an industrial painter for most of his early adult life and traveled the country from one construction site to another. The family spent many summer weekends camping and fishing at the lake. He and Pat went separate ways in 1982.

Jerry met Myrna Wilson and then became a part of her family as well. She had two kids, Shane and Wendy. Jerry treated both like his own. After many years of dating, they finally married on March 14, 1992. They traveled the country doing many jobs including managing RV parks. They bought a place in Apache Junction, AZ where Jerry was the local handyman and Myrna ran a beauty shop. Then they purchased Cameron, MT where they completely renovated the entire facility and had it up and running in about a years’ time.

Through the years they developed a large following of friends and neighbors. They were both beloved in this small town. Jerry and Myrna retired from Cameron and moved to Mesquite, NV in 2006. Unfortunately, he lost Myrna in January 2008.

Jerry was one of those special people that everyone wanted to be around. If the life of the party was in one room, you instantly knew where Jerry was. His unassuming demeanor, tied to a strong personal integrity, was admired by all who knew him. It was all part of his cowboy mentality. Many of the friends that were made from all their travels seemed to find their way to Mesquite where they enjoyed their company and stories.

Survivors include his children: Todd and Dawn; sister Barbara; two step children: Shane (Monica) Wilson and Wendy; and two younger twin brothers: Alvin and Kelvin. He was additionally blessed with 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren as well as 4 step grandchildren.

Jerry is preceded in death by his mother Lorena Aus; father Ruben Gartner; sister Roxanne (Kenny) Korgel; and wife Myrna Adams.

His final resting place will be next to Myrna in Ennis, MT where they will spend eternity together. Jerry was a great man with an amazing legacy. He will be deeply missed.

A service to remember Jerry will be held at K&L Mortuary in Ennis MT. at 1:00 PM on March 16, 2024.
