Enliven Medical Spa and Wellness Center in Mesquite held an open house event last weekend to celebrate some big changes at the clinic. People from both Virgin Valley and the Moapa Valley corwded into the facility on Saturday, Mar. 23 to check out the newly expanded clinic and learn about new services being offered.
The spa originally opened in 2022 as Enliven Infusion. Two years later, the clinic has now rebranded to Enliven Med Spa and Wellness Center to more fully encapsulate the breadth of services being offered. It has also doubled in size from a 900 sq ft facility to about 1800 sq ft.
Of course, the facility still offers a broad range of health infusions, injections and medically managed weight loss treatments. But it is now adding massage therapy and skin aesthetics services to its lineup.
Enliven owner Rodney Briggs grew up in Moapa Valley, graduating from MVHS in 2001. He received medical training at Bethel University in Tennessee as a Physicians Assistant. He has since worked in the areas of emergency medicine, primary care and cardiology.
“But it was this stuff that always was my inspiration to go into the field,” Briggs said of the clinic’s services.
Briggs added that the clinic is overseen by Medical Director Brad Stilson, also of Moapa Valley.
Briggs emphasized that, in addition to the services offered at the Mesquite clinic, Enliven would be offering office hours in Overton as well. Appointments are available at the office of Moapa Valley Dental at 1170 N. Moapa Valley Blvd, Suite A in Overton from 5:30-7:30 pm every Wednesday evening.
“We are dedicated to serving both Mesquite and Moapa Valley,” Briggs said. “We even plan to have a booth at the Clark County Fair.”
At the open house, Briggs introduced two new service providers who would be working at Enliven. These included massage therapist Becki Richards, and Aesthetician Daisy Ramirez.
Richards has come aboard as a new massage therapist with 23 years of experience. She has lived in Mesquite for the past three years, operating out of her own practice called Crystal Palms Healing Center which she closed last November.
Richards served many years as the Director of Massage Therapy at Provo College in Utah, where she had originally received her training. She taught all forms of massage including sports massage, deep tissue, injury therapy and more. One of her specialties is in cranial sacral therapy, a gentle, hands-on technique used on the skull and spine to promote pain relief by decreasing tension.
“I really focus on customizing different ways to fix unique issues for my patients,” Richards said. “That can include pain relief, stress resolution and more.”
Daisy Ramirez is a Mesquite native. She grew up here and graduated from VVHS in 2018. She attended Taylor Andrews Academy in St. George, Utah studying skin Aesthetics. She holds aestheticians licenses in both Utah and Nevada and is licenced as an advanced aesthetician in Nevada.
She has been working in the day spa at the Casablanca Resort for the past 3 years.
More recently she has opened her own practice. She said she did this because she wanted to provide more advanced services that could not be offered in a resort day spa.
Ramirez offers a variety of different facial skin treatments including resurfacing, rejuvenation, skin firming/tightening, acne treatments and more. More information about these treatments are available at https://daisy-k-aesthetics.square.site.
“I just want to offer a safe space for everyone to come and begin to feel confident in their own skin,” Ramirez said.
