MRW Spring Festival to be held Saturday

The Mesquite Republican Women club will hold its annual Spring Festival on Saturday, April 20, at the Rec Center West Field from 10am to 4 pm.

The festival promises family-friendly fun and will include more than vendors for shopping of crafts, wares and information.

Musical entertainment will provided by Rick Wall and the Outlaws.
A home-made bake sale and plenty of food trucks will be on hand.
Local and state political candidates will be in attendance to greet attendees personally and informally; and to answer questions one on one.

On the attendance list so far are, local candidates Ronald Shackelford, Steve Clutterham, Wes Boger, Bill Ennis, Nicklaus Montey and Mike Young. Other candidates will include School Board candidate Lydia Dominguez, Congressional candidates John Lee and David Flippo, and U.S. Senate candidates Tony Grady and Jeff Gunter.

Many of these will give a short talk during the program beginning at 11 AM.
“I hope everyone will come out and enjoy,” said MRW President Sue Zarubin. “It was such a fun day last year. A percentage of the proceeds from the vendors go to our local charities.”
