The Lost City Museum is hosting an exhibit created by the Moapa Valley Art Guild throughout the month of April.
Currently on display is a show with a distinct Southwest theme. The exhibit includes a variety of work by several Guild artists including award winners such as Janet Trobough, Susan Perez, Joy Lamb and Vanessa Fullman.
All artwork being exhibited in the show is for sale.
A portion of the proceeds from any art sales go toward the MV Art Guild’s scholarship fund.
The Guild has been offering scholarships to talented local high school graduates to pursue higher education opportunities in the arts for more than 30 years.
Last year, the Guild was able to award $1000 scholarships to three arts student graduates from the Moapa Valley.
MV Art Guild President Kim Delgadillo said that the organization is open to new members from the community. “We are always looking for creative people who want to join the Guild,” she said.
Membership in the Guild costs only $20 per year.
“We hope local people will stop by and support the Lost City Museum as well as the Art Guild,” Delgadillo said.
