Vicki Loise Oliver

Vicki Loise Oliver of Scenic, Arizona, age 85, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born November 27, 1938 in Henderson, Texas to Loise DeWitt Neal and Eva Newt (Thurmond) Neal. She married Lt. Thomas M. Oliver on July 10, 1965 at Amarillo AFB, Texas.

Vicki was raised in various towns in Texas including Lubbock and Amarillo. After finishing high school she worked for several oil companies in Texas and New Mexico as a geological drafts woman.

After marriage to Tom she moved many times in the Air Force. Places included: Plattsburg AFB, NY, Hill AFB in Ogden, UT, and Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT. After leaving the Air Force in Burlington, VT, the couple moved to Yorktown, VA, then to Mesquite, NV, to Pocono Lake, PA and finally to Scenic, AZ.

While enduring all of the moving around the country Vicki raised two wonderful children, Seeley and Tom. Jr. Moving to Yorktown, VA as empty nesters Vicki became a highly successful real estate agent with a large realty company. Finally retiring and moving to Mesquite she discovered a wonderful talent for painting and sculpture. Vicki was the artist of the month at the Virgin Valley Artists Association. She also painted the picture used as the welcome sign for Scenic. Vicki loved music, especially anything she could dance to. She would often stop whatever she was doing and just start to dance.

For those that knew her, her love and laughter comes to mind. Always beautiful, she was a Southern belle at heart with a deep love for family, friends and country. Vicki was an artist, a fabulous hostess and a committed wife and mother. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas M. Oliver; her daughter, Seeley; son Thomas Jr. (Laurie); and her two grandchildren, Evan and Maegan Oliver.

The service for Vicki was a private ceremony with only close family members present.

The family thanks those friends and family that blessed her life. A very special thank you to Pastor Mike and Sharon Rowden for their endless support.

The family will be arranging a celebration of life for Vicki in the near future.
