As the beginning of the upcoming school year approaches, Moapa Valley High School atheletics will be starting official practices soon.
The MVHS Football program will start on Thursdsay, August 12 at 12:01 a.m. with its annual boot camp at the high school. Football players should be at the high school at 10:00 p.m. to check in. A $55 fee will be collected at that time. Athletes should bring cash only. No checks are accepted at the High School
Other fall sports including tennis, cross country, soccer and volleyball will officially start practices on Monday, August 16. Students can contact the high school for start times. Volleyball will start practices at 8:00 a.m. on August 16.
All athletes will need a packet filled out and turned in before they can begin practicing. Coaches are instructed to send students home from practices until the packet is filled out correctly and turned in.
Freshman, juniors and first time athletes at MVHS will also need a physical exam. Packets with the appropriate forms are available in the front office at the high school.There are two boxes containing sets of forms: one for freshman and juniors and another for sophmores and seniors.
Be sure to get the right form please.
Every one needs to bring $5 cash for an impact test. No checks will be accepted at the high school.
