Moapa Valley Progress
Dr. Larry Adams has been elected in to the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) State Hall of Fame.
“Doc” as he is known to Moapa Valley High School athlete alumni, coached Moapa Valley Cross Country and Track and Field. His Track and Field teams had two sets of multiple state championship runs. The first was from 1968, 1969 and 1970; then again in 1995, 1996 and 1997; before he retired from coaching.
Doc Adams always encouraged students to run and participate in Cross Country and Track and Field. It wasn’t uncommon to see two or three Pirates qualify in an event for state.
He was an example to his student athletes as he encouraged them to not only participate but to make the choice to do their best.
Coach Adams also coached at Boulder City High School.
Congratulations Doc!
