The Moapa Valley High School Pirate Motion dance team held its annual Junior Dance Camp on March 1-3. Members of the Pirate Motion team taught young local future dancers ages 4-12 a dance routine which was performed at the team’s annual Dance Revue on Monday night.
About forty young girls signed up to participate. They were separated into four age groups and taught dance techniques, turns, leaps, jumps and more.
“Our numbers are smaller than they have been in the past but we appreciate what support we have,” Pirate Motion coach Brooke Bledsoe, said of the Dance Camp program.
The Junior Dance camp program has been going for about thirty years to help the team raise money for costumes and other dance necessities.
