Moapa Valley High School football player, Hayden Cooper signed a letter of intent last week to play football for the Red Storm of Dixie State in St. George Utah next season.
Hayden was a 1st team All State player as a receiver and a safety. He shares records in receiving with Casen Lewis.
Hayden is an example to all at what hard work can accomplish. When Hayden sets a goal he is relentless in his pursuit to accomplish it. He spent hours in training attending numerous camps and clinics to help him in his efforts to be the best he can be. He associated with friends who helped push him as well as he helping them achieve their goals. His leadership will be greatly missed next season but his example will live on.
Hayden plans to play one year then serve an LDS mission for two years. He then plans to return and continue his education.
Hayden was a receiver for the Pirates during the past couple of seasons helping them get to the State finals the last two years. He also played an important role basketball where he helped lead his team to two State finals appearances winning this year’s State Championship a couple weeks ago.
Hayden is an outstanding student carrying a straight A report card. Congratulations Hayden and good luck.
