Moapa Valley Progress
The Lady Pirate Basketball team got blown out by Boulder City with a score of 53-30 in their final game of the season on Thursday February 16. Moapa started off the game with 5 points. But they trailed by twenty with a score of 25-5 after only the first 8 minutes of the game.
Moapa seemed to have a problem in finding the hoop. Shots were hitting the back board, bottom of the back board, side of the back board and even the top of the back board. The team just wasn’t focused enough to find the rim.
The Pirates scored only one point in the second quarter and trailed by 28 points at the half with a score of 33-5.
Boulder rotated their bench for the rest of the game as Moapa tried to find some sort of combination that would work.
Moapa scored 11 points in the third quarter as Boulder City added 20 more.
The final quarter couldn’t get over soon enough for the Pirates as Boulder City finished them off with their bench on the floor.
Breanna Harding finished off her career with 0 points in the game, while Jackson scored 5.
For Boulder City Daly had 12, Williams 11 and Koopman 10 in the victory.
