Clark County Parks and Recreation finished its youth basketball season at the Logandale Fairgrounds Fine Arts building on Saturday, February 25. Boys and girls teams have been playing each other for the past several weeks while learning the skills for the game of basketball.
There were 35 kids who participated in the program, according to Parks and Rec coordinators.
Volunteer coaches who know the fundamentals of the game taught the kids these skills at practices and games. When the games were finished on Saturday, each player received a trophy for their hard work during the season.
Parks and Rec Youth programs provide the opportunity for, not just the young, but also adults to get out and enjoy sports and exercise. For information about the upcoming programs call 398-7480.
