Grant Bowler Elementary held its annual Water Day on Wednesday, June 8. Students celebrated the last day of school by spending time outside enjoying the beautiful weather and some much anticipated water games.
With lots of hard work and effort from teachers and staff, five stations of different activities allowed groups of kids to spend 11 minutes at each one before rotating. The long-time favorite fire-hose station was sprayed by teachers Clint Brill and librarian Bryce Hardy while the students played the game Fox Cross the River.
A new game had the children pass a water-filled bucket over their head while holes poked in the bottom of the bucket got them wet. The kids raced to pass it quickly to dump what was left in a barrel. The barrel with the most water in it at the end of the game indicated the winner.
Other games were featured including Sartacus, Limbo and a Slip-N-Slide.
