IA Baseball
Boulder City beat Desert Pines 9-4 last week. Boulder City was then beaten by Foothill 9-4.
Boulder City beat Moapa Valley 14-1. Fleming was 3 for 5 with a double, two runs scored and four RBI’s. Austin Wishard was 2-3 with two doubles. He scored three times and had an RBI. Howell was 2 for 4 with a couple doubles and two runs scored.
Chaparral beat Sunrise Mountain 12-2, then lost to the Valley Vikings 8-6.
Virgin Valley beat Desert Pines 12-9. Killmer had three hits while Martin Desantiago hit a two run double.
Faith Lutheran beat Western 12-0 Brand Jefferson of Faith Lutheran threw a no hitter against the Warriors. He struck out 4 and walked just one in the five inning game.
Dakota Greenwall was 2-3 with 2 RBI’s. Caleb Summer was 2-3 hitting a double and scoring 3 runs. Logan Etherington was 2-4 and a double with an RBI.
Faith Lutheran beat Sunrise Mountain 23-0. The Crusaders’ Caleb Summerhays was 4-4 with an amazing four home runs in the game and 10 RBI’s to help in the rout. Jordan Dreibelis pitched a no hitter with 11 strike outs in the five inning game. Eric Velman had two doubles and a triple. Tyler Trageton had a double and a triple.
The Crusades also beat Cheyenne 11-1. Brenden Meyer pitched a five hitter.
Western shutout Clark 7-0. The only bright spot for Clark in the game was Justin Almazar who was 3 for 3 at the plate. Western’s Edgar Reyes threw a six hitter as he struck out nine batters and had no walks. Ryan Garbowski was 2 for 4 with an RBI and scored a run. Josh Yocum had a triple.
The Warriors also beat Pahrump 4-2. Hernandez was 2 for 4 with a double then singled home the go ahead run in the firth. Yocum struck out eight to get the win.
Pahrump beat Clark 10-8. Dylan Ault was 3-5 hitting a 3 run homerun. He totaled 5 RBI’s for the game. Ault hit a triple in the top of the 7th knocking in the go ahead run. He scored from 3rd when A.J. Segura hit a sacrifice fly. Christian Balding was 2-2 scoring 2 runs and having a RBI.
Cheyenne’s Joseph Rose pitched a 3 hitter against Mojave leading his team to a 13-0 win. Austin Green hit a 3 run home run as he finished 2-3 from the plate. Lamon Harvey hit a double and a triple scoring 2 times and knocking in 3 runs for Cheyenne.
Cheyenne beat Virgin Valley 10-5. Lamon Harvey was 4-4 with two homeruns, a triple and four RBI’s in the win.
Tech beat Pahrump 7-2. Josh West was 2 for 4 as he scored three runs. He had three stolen bases. Bryan Casas and Elias Peinado each was 2 for 3 with three RBI’s to help the cause.
Mojave beat Del Sol 8-5 as David Rowley was 3-4 and scored the go ahead run in the sixth inning. Ryan Lawrence was 3-4 with a double and two stolen bases in the win.
Mojave beat Clark 6-5. Chase Anderson hit a triple scoring the game tying run with two out in the bottom of the sixth inning. He scored the game winner on a passed ball as Mojave came back from a 5-2 deficit to win the game. Ryan Lawrence was 4 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI.
IA Softball
Cheyenne beat Mojave 9-8. Taylor Perez hit a two out double in the bottom of the sixth inning to score the winning run against Mojave, Perez and Fata each were 2-3 for Cheyenne. Fata was the winning pitcher.
Cheyenne also beat Virgin Valley 17-6. Vanessa Sanders hit a double and had three RBI’s. She was 2 for 2 and scored twice. Jahne Davis had three RBI’s and scored twice. She was 2 for 4. Brittany Leeds was 2 for 3 as well as Taylor Perez.
Mojave beat Clark 17-7. Persico was 4 for 4. She hit two triples and had four RBI’s. Terren Vinson had two hits.
Mojave also beat Del Sol 15-1. Persico was 3 for 3 with two RBI’s and 3 runs scored. Danette Daguiar was 2 for 2. She hit a double and scored three runs with her two RBI’s.
Faith Lutheran shutout Western 13-0. Stacie Graham gave up three hits as she struck out six batters. Amanda Young hit two doubles and had three RBI’s. Kelly Zufall was 3-4 with a double, three stolen bases and an RBI. Lauryn Lipe doubled and had three RBI’s Lili Bonora was 2-4.
Faith Lutheran also beat Cheyenne 10-6. Zufall was 3 for 4 with an RBI. Mandi Young had two hits and scored twice. Lipe singled in two runs.
Faith Lutheran beat Sunrise Mountain 12-2. Rachel Kerr was the winning pitcher and was 2 for 3 from the plate. Bonora was 2 for 4. Lee and Wright were 2-4 from the plate.
Pahrump beat Clark 14-1. Katelyn Button hit a triple and scored three times. She had two RBI’s in the win. Mallory Cole was 2 for 3 and scored two runs. She also had two RBI’s.
Pahrump also beat Western 11-1. Whitney Roderick threw a one hitter for the Trojans. She struck out 15.
Tech pounded Del Sol 22-5. Jordyn Roark was 5 for 5 with a double. Site had 6 RBI’s. Kimmie Rodriguez doubled as Tech scored 12 runs in the second inning.
Chaparral beat Sunrise Mountain 4-2. Nicole Leniak was 3 for 3. She hit a two run home run in the bottom of the 5th. Lesniak also pitched a five hitter and doubled. Tichina Savoy was 2-3 with two runs scored. Lauren Lesniak was 2-4.
Chaparral also beat Valley 9-6. Lesniak threw a six hitter and struck out 11 batters. She was 3 for 4 from the plate with a double. Savoy was 2 for 3 and she scored twice.
Boulder City beat Desert Pines 23-0. Mikaela Brown threw a five inning perfect game. She struck out 11 of the 15 batter she faced.
Boulder City also beat Moapa Valley 13-3. Charlene Masterson was 2 for 3 with a three run home run. She also threw a three hitter. Alex Frye was 2-4. Hessie Holling hit a two run homer.
Virgin Valley beat Desert Pines 28-11. Kayla Hughes hit two doubles and had two RBI’s. Virgin Valley scored 15 runs in the first inning. Lexi Barnum had four RBI’s.
