Fishing The Overton Arm (November 22, 2017)

By LOREN BROOKS

Loren Brooks

We made it back to Overton on November 7, at 4:15 pm. It has been seven months of summer activity up in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Colorado, and N.W. Nevada for some of us. It’s nice to be back in the valley and discover that fishing is still good on the Overton arm.

Reports are already streaming in about stripers being caught by friends and neighbors. Bryce and Steve already tested a new pontoon boat with success. Bud, Rodney and Alan had a good day last week. Sam and his wife did well near 18.

We hope to be on the lake soon. You know how it is unpacking.
Bragging rights came our way this summer. The Sebago lure from Al’s Gold Fish Lure Company is credited with 107 Rainbows in my boat in the last 5 months at Deer Creek Reservoir.
New boats, old boats and favorite flotations should bring a lot of stripers to the table this season. It’s good to be back.

Fisherman, send me word about your day on the lake or fishing from shore. If you are going out at night let me know. I hope you get your lines in the water with what it takes to catch some fish.
