Boys Southern 3A
Boulder City
The Eagles played one game last week. It was just a shoot around against Sky Pointe with an ending score of 75-39. Boulder City started with a 26-9 lead then added a 23-12 second quarter for the huge lead.

Chaparral
The Cowboys fell behind the Del Sol Dragons 16-10 by the end of the first quarter. They trailed by one point at halftime and held a one-point lead by the start of the fourth quarter.
The Cowboys trailed by four-points with 12 seconds remaining in the game and looking at their first league loss of the season. After a free throw the Cowboys used a turnover and a desperate half court shot which went in to send the game into overtime.
With a minute remaining in the first overtime the game was tied at 61’s.
From there the Cowboys used the time by passing the ball around until 22 seconds remained. Dejonte Allen would get the basket with 8 seconds remaining. On the inbound pass, Meshach Hawkins stepped in front of the pass and was fouled with 3-seconds left in the game. Hawkins made one and a desperation shot was after the buzzer giving the Cowboys a 64-61 win to remain undefeated in the Sunrise.

Del Sol
The Dragons beat Sky Pointe 75-40. The scored was 19-6 after the first quarter then 40-15 by halftime.
The Dragons then emptied the bench and captured the win.

SECTA
SLAM Academy beat SECTA, 78-51 on Monday, to start a three game week for the Roadrunners. SLAM, who will be joining the 3A next year, used a 20-12 run in the first quarter, then finished the game with a 36-14 run for the blow out win.
SECTA travelled to Virgin Valley on Wednesday where they beat the Dawgs 53-42. Virgin Valley held a 10-9 lead after the first quarter. SECTA led 22-20 by halftime then 35-30 after the third quarter. Jayden Perkins scored 13-points to lead the Bulldogs.
On Friday the Road Runners hosted Green Valley Christian and won 62-21.

3A League Standings
South Sunrise
Chaparral 9-0, Boulder City 6-2, Del Sol 6-3, Tech 5-3, Moapa Valley 3-6, Virgin Valley 1-8 and Sky Pointe 0-8.

South Sunset
Desert Pines 5-1, Cheyenne 4-2, Mojave 4-2, Sunrise Mountain 2-4, Western 2-4 and Pahrump Valley 1-5.

Northern 3A
Elko 12-0, Churchill County 8-4, Spring Creek 7-5, South Tahoe 7-5, Fernley 6-5, Lowry 6-6, Dayton 4-8, Truckee 3-9 and Sparks 0-11.

Girls Southern 3A
Boulder City
The Eagles hosted Clark on Monday last week. Clark held a lead of 12-4 after the first quarter and 26-12 at halftime. Boulder made a run 17-11 in the third then couldn’t by a basket in the fourth giving up a 10-3 quarter for the final 47-32.
On Friday Boulder City destroyed Sky Pointe 54-8.

Chaparral
The Cowboys beat Del Sol 47-24. They broke open an ugly game with a 26-7 run for the lead. In the final quarter, Del Sol outscored Chaparral 3-2.

Del Sol
The Dragons beat Sky Pointe 38-11.

Virgin Valley
The Bulldogs beat SECTA 43-24. The Dawgs held a 10-4 first quarter lead then a 19-8 lead by half time. Alex Boatright and Taylor Barnum each scored 10-points for Virgin Valley.

Churchill County 12-0, Spring Creek 9-3, Lowry 8-3, Fernley 7-4, Elko 65-, Truckee 5-7, Sparks 3-7, South Tahoe 1-11 and Dayton 0-11.
