Pirate Tennis Plays Dual Match

The Moapa Valley High School Tennis teams travelled to the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas on Saturday where they played Faith Lutheran and Bishop Gorman in a double header.

On the girl’s side, the doubles team of Lara Bingisser and Aubrey Cooper got the lone win against Faith Lutheran, a 6-0 match.
Faith Lutheran beat the Pirates 17-1. Kennedy Barr, Anianna VanHouweing were both 2-0 for the Crusaders while the doubles teams of Isabelle Cottingham and Magan Parriah, Adrianna Martinez and Eleni Ciull each were undefeated.

On the boy’s side, the Pirates beat Faith Lutheran 10-9. Chase Hadley finished with a 2-1 record in singles while Slade Graham and Jake Leavitt finished 3-0. Luke Hauver and Kolby May were 2-1 while Yadon Witsken and Anson Call each finished with a 2-1 record.
Blake Kelly was 3-0 for Faith Lutheran in singles while Maxwell Blum and Taylor Pettigrew finished 2-1 in singles. The boys lost to Bishop Gorman,14-4.

The Pirates host three matches against Sunrise Mountain, Basic and Virgin Valley on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week.
