Southern 3A
Del Sol @ Virgin Valley
Last year the Bulldogs were led by Perkins who led the Dawgs in virtually everything. This year Wyatt Delano has picked up the slack as he scored five touchdowns in the Dawgs’ win against Del Sol. Delano finished the game with 144 yards and 3 touchdowns on 28 carries. Meb Hollingshead threw for 172 yards going 10-18 passing. Virgin Valley held on to beat the Dragons 32-26. Virgin Valley is 3-0 so far while Del Sol is 1-2.

Boulder City at Democracy Prep
The Eagles beat the Blue Knights 23-8 on Friday. Boulder City scored 17 points in the first quarter. The first was a safety midway through the quarter. They scored their first touchdown a minute later when Thurston Balmer broke a 58-yards run.
On the next series Matt Morton caught a 14-yard pass for a touchdown with 3:38 to play in the first quarter.
Boulder City scored for the final time in the start of the second quarter. It was Balmer who scored again, this time from 28-yards away.

Amar Smith scored the only Knights touchdown when he caught a 65-yard pass from Micah Gayman. The Eagles finished with 311 total yards of offense. 243 yards rushing and 68-yards passing. Balmer finished with 214 yards rushing on 22 carries. He scored 2-touchdowns.
The Knights had 171-yards of total offense 44-yards rushing and 127-yards passing. Gayman finished with 10-21 passing for 127 yards a touchdown and an interception.

Sunrise Mountain at Pahrump
The Miners were beaten badly by the Trojans 42-14. The Trojans only reported 129 total yards of offense. Nico Velazquez ran for 109 yards scoring a touchdown. Casey Flennory scored three touchdowns for the Trojans. A 20-yard run, a 63-yard run and an 11-yard pass reception.
The Miners will host Democracy Prep while the Trojans will travel to Boulder City.

Rancho at Cheyenne
The Rancho Rams are 1-2 so far this season. They travelled to Cheyenne last week where the Desert Shields shut them out, 42-0. Rancho finished with 69 total yards of offense. All 69 yards came on the ground. They were 0-4 in passing.
Cheyenne finished with 433-yards of total offense. They carried the ball 22 times for 296 yards. The Desert Shields threw for 137-yards on 6-10 passing.
Javier Cone ran the ball 3 times for 98-yards while Majae Madison ran 7 times for 93-yards. Cheyenne scored on plays of 20, 40, 32, 50, and 33-yards: two passing and four rushing.
Rancho will host Valley while Cheyenne will host the Clark Chargers if the Chargers are allowed to play this week. They were in a fight against Basic last Friday night and maybe forced to not only forfeit last week’s game, but this week’s as well. They are awaiting a decision by the NIAA.

Northern 3A
Fallon at Fernley
The Greenwave traveled to rival Fernley last Friday night and shut out the Vaqueros 40-0. Fallon scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters. Elijah Jackson the Fallon quarterback threw for 224 yards on 14-23 passing throwing a touchdown. He also ran for 141 yards rushing scoring three touchdowns. Tom McCormick caught 6 passes for 117 yards.
This week Fallon will travel to Tahoe Truckee in a game between the two favorites. It may be the game that decides who hosts a state semi-final playoff game and the team who travels south for the state semi-final game.
This will be the game of the week for the 3A.

Truckee at North Valleys
Truckee had over 600 yards of offense in their 66-13 win over the North Valleys Panthers. Truckee scored 25-points in the first quarter alone.
They added 13 in the second then 21 in the third. Bellon was 8-11 passing with 162 yards and 3 touchdowns with an interception. Kelly ran the ball 5 times for 136 yards with a touchdown. He caught 3 passes for 47 yards and 3 touchdowns Skaff ran the ball 3 times for 121 yards with a touchdown. Malo finished with 2 touchdowns running for 30 yards.
North Valleys is 1-1 this season and will host Elko this Friday night.
Truckee is 3-0 and will play the game of the week against Fallon in Truckee Saturday afternoon.

Dayton at Elko
The Elko Indians are now 3-0 this season as they beat the Dayton Dust Devils 46-0. Elko held a 29-0 lead at halftime and ended the game with a 4-yard touchdown with a 39-0 lead adding the touchdown with 10 seconds remaining. Elko will face North Valleys this Friday night.

Lowry at Spring Creek
The Spartans beat the Buckaroos 27-14 in Spring Creek.

South Tahoe at Sparks
The Sparks Railroaders upset South Tahoe 29-6.

Northern 3A league standings:
Truckee 2-0, Churchill County 2-0, Elko 2-0, Sparks 1-1, Lowry 1-1, North Valleys 1-1, Spring Creek 1-1, South Tahoe 0-2, Dayton 0-2 and Fernley 0-2.
