MVHS Tennis Teams Take On Full Schedule

The Moapa Valley High School Tennis team were busy last week with four matches scheduled. But only three were played.
The Pirates hosted the Valley Vikings on Tuesday, September 4.

The boys team beat Valley 17-1. Chase and Gavin Hadley each were 2-0 in singles while Hunter Wrzesinksi and Slade Graham finished with a 2-0 record in doubles as well as Jake Leavitt and Jannis Gersch.
The Girls team lost to Valley 12-6.
On Wednesday the girls team won by a forfeit 12-0. Meanwhile the boys team travelled to Mojave and beat the Rattlers 18-0.

Thursday saw Adelson School travel to Moapa Valley where the boy’s team finished with a 15-3 team win. Chase and Gavin Hadley each posted 3-0 records with Adam Smedley finishing 2-0, Wrzensinski and Graham finishing 3-0 and Leavitt and Gersch going 2-0.

The girl’s team beat Adelson 10-8. Aubrey Aikele was 2-1 in singles with Averee Widdison and Courtney Zerkle playing to a 3-0 record in doubles while Lara Bingisser and Floor Dieleman were 2-0.
Friday’s match which was to be played at Desert Pines, was canceled.

The Pirates will play just one match this week, on Thursday at Western.
