Southern 3A
Democracy Prep at VVHS
The Bulldogs remain undefeated. On Friday night the Dawgs hosted the Blue Knights of Democracy Prep and won, 33-18.
The Dawgs took a 14-0 lead midway through the second quarter when Wyatt Delano scored from five yards out. It was his first of four touchdowns on the night,A running the ball a total of 33 times for 320 yards.
Democracy Prep got into the Bulldogs’ end of the field but couldn’t finish as they turned the ball over on downs several times.
The Blue Knights first touchdown came on a 60-yard run to cut the lead to 6-14 after the 2-point rushing attempt conversion failed with four minutes to play in the first half.

Virgin Valley wasn’t finished. They scored with under a minute in the half when Meb Hollingshead completed a 25-yard touchdown pass giving the Dawgs a 21-6 lead.
Democracy scored in the final seconds, though, with a pass to head into the locker room trailing 21-12.
With three minutes to play in third quarter Delano scored his third touchdown with a one-yard run. Virgin Valley missed the extra point for a 27-12 lead.
The Blue Knights scored a final time with a touchdown pass to pull with in 9-points at 8 minutes to play in the game.

Delano found the endzone four minutes later with a 28-yard touchdown run. After the missed extra point the final score was 33-18.
Hollingshead finished with 4 completions on 8 passing attempts for 38 yards and a touchdown.
Virgin Valley, Nevadapreps number one ranked team in the 3A, will travel to Boulder City on Friday night to face the number five Eagles.

Western at Boulder City
The Eagles got their third win by beating the Western Warriors 41-3. Thorstein Balmer scored three touchdowns for Boulder City in the first quarter.
Jimmy Dunagan scored on a 21-yard pass completion from quarterback Parker Reynolds with 2:41 remaining in the first quarter for a 28-0 lead.
Western scored with a 39-yard field goal midway through the second quarter.
Gino Carroll scored a 3-yard touchdown run with two minutes to play in the first half. Then Balmer scored his fourth touchdown on a 14-yard run for the final.
The Eagles finished with 342 yards of total offense: 272 rushing and 70 passing. Western finished with 110-yards of total offense, 83 passing on 9-17 attempts.

Del Sol at Rancho
Del Sol hammered the Rancho Rams 48-0. Del Sol scored once in the first quarter then added three touchdowns in the second quarter, touchdown in the third quarter and two more in the fourth giving the Dragons the final score.
Del Sol finished with 385-yards of total offense: 126-yards on the ground. Quarterback Andre Neverez threw the ball 22 times with 16 completions, two touchdowns and an interception.

Sunrise Mountain at Valley
What a difference a year makes. Sunrise Mountain was beaten by the Valley Vikings at Valley High School, 25-12.
Bryce Jones scored the first touchdown for Valley with a 1-yard dive on their first drive of the night.
Miner quarterback Damaureir Alexander scored with a 3-yard dive early in the second quarter.
Jones scored his second touchdown on a 17-yard run with just under three minutes in the second quarter to untie the game and make the score, 13-6 after the extra point.
Seth Jerrett scored after intercepting a pass and returning the ball 36-yards for a 19-6 Valley lead.
The Miners would score their final touchdown when Alexander found Link Rhodes on a 38-yards pass. The two point conversion run fell short of the goal line for a 19-12 Valley lead headed into the fourth quarter.
Fifty seconds into the fourth, Jones scored his touchdown from 10-yards away for the final score 25-12.
Valley had 363-yards of total offense: 233-yards running and 130 passing. They were 10-20 throwing the ball. Sunrise Mountain had 259-yards of total offense: 133-yards were rushing while 126-yards were passing.

Northern 3A
North Valleys at Fallon
The Greenwave of Fallon beat North Valleys, 68-18. Greenwave quarterback Elijah Jackson was 8-17 for 194-yards passing with 3 touchdowns. He also ran the ball five times for 153 yards and three more touchdowns. Sean McCormick ran the ball 14 times for 120-yards and one touchdown.
Fallon scored 52 points in the first half for a 52-18 lead. They finished with 497-yards of total offense.
Sparks at Elko

The Indians are proving they are in the top of the 3A north as they have won four in a row and are tied for the top spot in the 3A north. The problem of the four teams they beat three are on the bottom in league standings. The other, Sparks is 2-3 with all four teams having a league combine record of 3-16. Last Friday night the Indians hosted the Sparks railroaders where they beat Sparks 44-6. Elko scored 34 points in the first half. Elko quarterback Carter Alvarado was 4-9 for 82 yards but three of the passes were for touchdowns. He threw one interception. Coby Tiner carried the ball 9 times gaining 121-yards but no touchdowns. Quintana and Jones each scored one. The Indians will host last years northern champion Fernley this Friday night.

Truckee at Lowry
The Truckee Wolverines beat the Lowry Buckaroos 27-10 last Friday night. Truckee quarterback Marcus Bellon struggled completing just 4 of 13 passes, but two of the completions were for touchdowns. He had 15-yards total passing.
Bellon was the leading rusher for Truckee with 11 carries for 102-yards.
Truckee made two field goals.
Truckee finished with 401 yards of total offense.

Spring Creek at Dayton
Spring Creek beat Dayton 49-19. Spring Creek scored 24-points in the second quarter to blow the game open and hold a 30-12 lead at halftime. Reed Westwood scored the first Spartan touchdown with an 11-yard run.
Dayton tied the game early in the second quarter with an 82-yards touchdown run.
Jeff Guthrie scored with a 24-yard run for Spring Creek followed by a safety. Westwood scored his second touchdown with a 55-yard run with seven minutes to play in the first half.
Dayton would score their second touchdown when he finished with a 1-yards run.
Spring Creek’s Kyle Owsley then returned the kickoff for a touchdown for a 30-12 lead at halftime.
Spring Creek would score three more times including a pick six by Caleb Sumsion.

Fernley at South Tahoe
The Fernley Vaqueros beat the South Tahoe Vikings 18-6.

Elko 4-0, Fallon 4-0, Truckee 3-1, Spring Creek 3-1, Sparks, 2-2, Fernley 2-2, Loary 1-3, North Valleys 1-3, South Tahoe 0-4 and Dayton 0-4.
