Moapa Valley Progress

Northern 3A
Sparks at Truckee
Truckee didn’t have much of a problem with the Railroaders. They beat Sparks 50-7.
Sparks did score first and led 7-0 at the first quarter. Then Truckee scored seven straight touchdowns in the blowout.
Brennen Conklin scored first on a 59-yard pass from Truckee QB Marcus Bellon. Marcus Trotter scored from 4-yards away and then again on a 37-yard run.
Sparks punted the ball with seconds remaining in the half. Bellon caught the punt and returned it for an 85-yard touchdown to lead 28-7.
Jackson Skaff scored from a yard away to start the second half. Conklin scored again when he caught an 11-yard touchdown pass. Drew Wingard sacked the Sparks quarterback for a safety. Tyler Estabrook scored the final touchdown with a 15-yard reception.

Spring Creek at Fernley
Spring Creek was beaten 28-21 by the Vaqueros.

Fallon at Elko
The Greenwave hammered the Elko Indians 44-0. Tom McCormick scored the first Fallon touchdown with an 11-yard run. McCormick scored his second from a yard away and scored the two point conversion for a 14-0 lead. Brock Richardson found the endzone next and after the 2-point conversion Fallon lead 22-0.
A penalty on the Elko band when it played during the start of a Greenwave 3 and 4 play, gave Fallon another play on third down. McCormick would finish the drive with a 24-yard run for a touchdown that was called back for holding to a turnover on downs. McCormick would score on the next series on an 18-yard run. Jackson would score to start the second half and start the running clock with 10:42 to play in the third quarter with a 38-0 lead.
Richardson would score the final Fallon touchdown with a 20-yard run.

Lowry at Dayton
The Buckaroos came away with a 56-6 win over Dayton.
South Tahoe at North Valleys
South Tahoe was beaten 42-34. North Valleys scored 24 points in the fourth quarter in the win.
With 8 minutes to play in the third North Valleys tied the game with a Garrett Pennington 15-yard run. South Tahoe would take the lead again when they completed a pass for a touchdown 4 minutes later. They converted a 2-point conversion for a 20-12 lead.
Pennington would score from 2-yards but North Valleys failed to convert to trail 20-18 at the end of the third.
South Tahoe took a 16 point lead in the fourth quarter after a touchdown and 2-point conversion. They scored again for a 34-18 lead. Pennington would score from 25-yards away on a run and then run for the 2-point conversion.
Tyler Jones on the next North Valley series caught a 10-yard pass to cut the lead to 2-points with two minutes to play. Pennington tied the game with a run for the 2-point conversion at 34-34.
South Tahoe was forced to punt with under a minute to play. North Valleys returned the ball and then watched Jones run for 48-yards to the endzone for the game winner.

Northern 3A Standings
Fallon 7-0, Truckee 6-1, Elko 5-2, Spring Creek 5-2, Fernley 4-3, Lowry 4-3, Sparks 2-5, North Valleys 2-5, South Tahoe 0-7 and Dayton 0-7.

Southern 3A-Sunrise
Rancho at Sunrise Mountain
The Miners used a 22-point second quarter to blow out the Rams 36-7. Quarterback Tyree Hayes had two running touchdowns. Link Rhodes scored twice.Markus Gibb scored from 20-yards away with a run.
Virgin Valley at Spring Valley
It took a touchdown with 1:09 to play in the game for the Dawgs to get the win. Wyatt Delano scored from 8-yards away to give the Dawgs a one point margin then held on the final minute for the win.
The Dawgs got on the board first when Jake Hampsten caught a 26-yard pass from Meb Hollingshead. Marco Gadines caught a 56-yard pass for a touchdown four minutes later and tied the game with the point after. Delano then scored from 9-yards away midway through the second quarter for a 14-7 lead. Godinez then caught an 80-yards catch-and-run on the first play after the kick off; but the kick missed for a 14-13 Bulldog lead.
Four minutes later Spring Valley would take the lead when Jonathan Vazquez caught a 20-yard pass for a 14-19 score after the kick missed again.

Sunrise Standings
Moapa Valley 7-1 overall 3-0 in league, Boulder City 4-3,1-1, Sunrise Mountain 2-5, 1-1, Virgin Valley 7-1,1-1, Rancho 1-7, 0-3.

Southern 3A-Sunset
Pahrump Valley at Del Sol
What has happened to Del Sol? Once a contender for the Sunset title, the Dragons have now lost their last two league games including against Pahrump last week, 27-14. Del Sol was held to 151-total yards of offense. Just 29 rushing.
The Trojans started the game with a 2-yard run by Cory Flennory. Del Sol would score the next two touchdowns for a 14-7 Dragon lead. But Pahrump would score the final three touchdowns to win the game. Pahrump Valley finished with 417-yards of total offense. 305 came from running the ball.

Western at Cheyenne
Cheyenne destroyed the Warriors 63-0.

Democracy Preps at Valley
The Vikings of Valley beat the Blue Knights 21-7. Valley scored in the first quarter when Keenan McNair caught a 9-yard pass from Jarret Zibert. Zibert would score the second touchdown for Valley on a 3-yard run in the first half. Valley scored their third touchdown when Zibert found Larry Perry for a 53-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. Keionte Scott scored a 23-yards reception form Amar Smith with 4:41 to play in the game.

Sunset Standings
Pahrump Valley 4-3, 3-0, Cheyenne 6-2, 2-1, Valley 4-4, 2-1, Del Sol 4-4, 1-2, Democracy Prep 2-6, 1-2, Western 0-7, 0-3.
