MVHS Tennis Players Compete At State

Chase Hadley finished fourth in Truckee last week at the 3A Tennis State Championship tournament. Hunter Wrzsinski and Slade Graham also placed fourth in the doubles team tournament.

Hadley beat Incline’s Dalton Fry 6-2, 6-0 in the first round. He lost to Conner Mikkelsen of Boulder City in the second round 6-1, 6-0. He then lost to Zach Haas of Truckee for fourth place 6-4, 6-2.

In the Boy’s Doubles tournament Wrzsinski and Graham beat Truckee’s Turner Drumond and Elliot Rost 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(6) in the first round. They lost to Boulder City’s Boen Huxford and Preston Jergensen in the second round 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(6). Then they lost to Justin Finseth and Ethan Lee 7-6(5), 6-1.

Boulder City won the Boy’s team championship over the Meadows while the Meadows girls won the girls team Championship over Boulder City.
