Southern 3A Boys-Sunrise
Boulder City
The Eagles took a trip to Virgin Valley where they flew past the Bulldogs with a 62-36 score. The game was close in the first quarter with the Eagles leading 12-10. Then they poured it on as they went on a 22-5 run through the second quarter; then a 17-9 third quarter for the big win.
In their second game of the week, the Eagles travel to Sky Pointe where they won 69-42. The Eagles started the game with a 23-9 run for the big lead. They continued with a 19-9 second quarter.

Chaparral
The Cowboys are 2-0 in league play and 8-5 overall. Last week they had two easy wins.
They traveled first to Sky Pointe and beat the Eagles 68-38. The Cowboys built a 21-7 lead by the end of the first quarter, and extended it to 41-18 by halftime. It was 58-24 by the start of the fourth quarter.
The second game was played at Sunrise Mountain. The Miners did not have a very good game as they fell behind early 19-6 by the end of the first quarter. The score was 39-16 at halftime.

Virgin Valley
The Bulldogs travelled ot Lincoln County on Friday where they were beaten by the 2A Lynx 63-49. The Lynx led the whole game. They built a 14-9 lead in the first quarter. The score was 30-24 at halftime and 51-40 to start the fourth quarter. The Dawgs are now 1-12 overall and 0-2 in league play.

Southern 3A Boys-Sunset
Democracy Prep
The Blue Knights are 4-0 in league play and 14-4 overall in their first year of the 3A. As a reminder The Blue Knights have won four state titles in the past five years in the 2A.
The first game was Monday night at home against Pahrump. The Blue Knights easily handled the Trojans 70-21. They dominated from the opening tip as they opened with a 30-5 first quarter. They led 48-14 at halftime then when with a 18-2 third quarter.

The second game was also a league game and a blow out as the Blue Knights beat the Valley Vikings 61-23. Democracy used a 24-4 second quarter and a 19-4 third quarter to build the lead.
They hosted and beat the Rancho Rams 78-41. They started with a 17-7 first quarter and led at halftime 41-22. A 22-7 third quarter broke the Vikings back.
Last Saturday the Blue Knights played at the South Pointe Arena against Desert Oasis and came out with a huge 86-60 win. They scored 21 in the first quarter, 23 in the third and 29 in the fourth.

Del Sol
The Dragons started last week at Valley and trailed 12-6 after the first quarter. They built a 3-point lead by the end of the half 24-21. It was in the third quarter that the Dragons ran away with the game as they outscored the Vikings 20-8.
The second game of the week was against Innovations International which was a 51-46 loss. The deciding quarter was the third. Del Sol allowed a 16-8 run that cost them the game.
Innovations International is an independent school this year. They are 8-1 overall with their only loss coming to Faith Lutheran 72-33.

Mojave
The Rattlers are also 3-1 in league play with a 13-6 record overall. Last week the Rattlers started by hosting Somerset Losee where they won 66-32. The game started in a rout with the Rattlers taking a 22-5 lead by the end of the first quarter. They extending the lead with a 20-11 second quarter for a 42-16 lead at halftime. They just coasted the rest of the game for the win.
The second game was against rival Cheyenne who was the 3A state runner-up last year and moved to the 4A this year. Cheyenne had a 18-12 lead by the end of the first quarter. Mojave then tied the game with a 18-12 run by halftime. Mojave controlled the third quarter which was the reason for the win with a 22-12 advantage.

Western
The Warriors were 1-1 last week. They started the week with a winover the Pahrump Valley Trojans 57-25. The score was 18-9 after the first quarter. It was 33-17 by halftime. In the third quarter the Warriors went on a 24-5 run giving them their first league win of the season.
In their second game the Warriors were beaten in a game against Sierra Vista 53-37. The Mountain Lions took a 20-10 lead in the first quarter for the difference.

Southern 3A Girls-Sunrise
Boulder City
The Eagles are 1-1 in league play. Last week they started with a loss to Virgin Valley 45-40. The Dawgs out-scored the Eagles 16-9 in the first quarter building a lead they sustained the whole game. Elie Howard led the Eagles with 17-points. Alexis Boatright led the Bulldogs with 17-points. Sydney Ludvigson scored 12.
In their second game of the week, the Eagles beat Sky Pointe 55-25. It was a blow out from the start as the Eagles opened with a 24-2 first quarter. It was 40-9 at halftime. Keely Alexander scored 12-points while Kailee Fisher and Howard scored 11 apiece. Hannah Estes added 10-points.

Chaparral
The Cowboys opened the week at home against Skypointe with a win 54-21. The Cowboys shutout Sky Pointe in the first quarter 17-0 and held a 35-6 lead at halftime.
In their second game of the week the Cowboys were beaten by Sunrise Mountain 67-36. The Miners held a 38-15 lead at halftime with a 24-8 run in the second quarter.

Virgin Valley
The Bulldogs beat Lincoln County 36-30 on Friday in Panaca. The Dawgs held a 27-14 lead at halftime then had to hold on as they could only muster 9-points in the second half, but still won. Alexis Boatright lead the Bulldogs with 12-points. Kendra Matthews scored 16 for the Lynx.

Southern 3A Girls-Sunset
Mojave
The Rattlers are 4-0 in league play this season tied with Pahrump Valley. The Rattlers beat Somerset-Losee 63-16 in the first game. It was 21-8 after the first quarter then 40-14 at halftime.
In the second game of the week, they beat Cheyenne 65-53. It start as a high scoring game with the Rattlers holding a 24-17 lead by the end of the first quarter. Cheyenne cut the lead to 4 by halftime.

Pahrump Valley
The Trojans beat Democracy Prep 66-21 in the first game of the week. The score was 20-8 at the end of the first quarter and 32-12 at halftime. The Trojans shut out the Blue Knights in the fourth quarter after a 22-9 third quarter.
In the second game The Trojans beat the Western Warriors 46-31.

Democracy Prep
The Blue Knights beat the Valley Vikings 55-23. It was 20-2 after the first quarter and 32-4 at halftime. Enough said.
In their second game they beat the Rancho Rams 63-55. They had a 21-8 lead after the first quarter then were outscored 17-7 in the second quarter. Both teams scored 19 points in the third quarter before the Blue Knights pulled away.

Del Sol
The Dragons lost both of their games last week. The first to Pahrump Valley then to Valley 23-21.

Western
The Warriors were beat by Sierra Vista 67-28
