Southern Boys 3A Sunrise
Boulder City
In the Eagles’ second game of last week, they hosted Virgin Valley and came away with a 63-46 win. The game was tied at 28 at halftime. Then the Eagles outscored the Dawgs 17-9 and 18-9 in the third and fourth quarters.
Will Barnum scored 15-points to lead the Dawgs. Derrick Thomas added 25, Matt Morton 10, Karson Bailey 13 and Ethan Speaker 11 for the Eagles.

Chaparral
The Cowboys were 3-0 last week with two league wins over Virgin Valley, 60-34, and Sky Pointe, 71-38. They also beat Las Vegas, 59-57, all at home. Virgin Valley only scored 8 points in the first half total trailing 32-8. The Cowboys started the Sky Point game with a 26-9 first quarter for the easy win.

Sunrise Mountain
The Miners beat Sky Pointe 62-50 to start last week. But it was not until the fourth quarter that the Miners were able to pull away from Sky Pointe as they went on a 24-16 run..

Southern Boys 3A Sunset
Democracy Prep
The Blue Knights were 2-0 last week with a league win over Western, 73-26. They put up a 23-7 first quarter, then shut out the Warriors 15-0 in the fourth quarter.
In the second game of the week the Knights humiliated Pinecrest Academy 116-20. That is right 116-20. The Blue Knights led 41-6 after the first quarter and 70-8 at halftime.

Mojave
Mojave beat Valley 62-46 then Del Sol 52-47. The Rattlers led 15-8 after the first quarter against the Vikings and sealed the deal in the fourth with a 17-9 run. The Rattlers built a early lead 17-12 in the first quarter then held on for the win against Del Sol.

Del Sol
The Western Warriors upset the Dragons, 73-61, last week with a 28-16 fourth quarter. Western lead 17-10 after the first before Del Sol chipped away and tied the game heading into the fourth quarter.

Valley
The Vikings got a win in their second game of the week when they beat Somerset-Losee 56-46 in league play. It was the first quarter 13-6 and the third quarter where the Vikings built their leads.

Pahrump Valley
The Trojans remained winless in league play last week with a loss to Somerset-Losse 61-56. Losee trailed by two points to start the fourth quarter then went on a 16-9 run for the win.

Southern Girls 3A Sunrise

Boulder City
The Eagles are in first place in the southern 3A with a 5-1 record. They beat Virgin Valley in their second game last week, 47-41. Virgin Valley started with a 16-8 first quarter then watched as the Eagles exploded with a 21-6 second quarter. The Eagles followed with a 13-6 third before letting the Dawgs make it closer than it was with a 13-5 fourth quarter.

Sunrise Mountain
The Miners are in third place with a 4-2 record in league play. They beat Sky Pointe in their first game of the week 69-22. They started the game with a 24-5 first and a 21-14 second to build their lead.

Virgin Valley
The Bulldogs beat Chaparral 55-49 with a fourth quarter run, 17-11 in Chaparral. They are the fourth place team in the Sunrise right now.

Chaparral
The Cowboys beat Skypointe 61-25 in league play. The Cowboys started with a 27-3 first quarter and never looked back.

Southern Girls 3A Sunset
Pahrump Valley
The Trojans are in first place of the Sunset with a 6-0 record. Last week they beat Mojave 31-25. The first quarter was the difference as they outscored the Rattlers 12-4 then held on. In their second game the Trojans beat Valley 58-14.

Mojave
The Rattlers beat Del Sol 43-17 in the second game of the week. In the first game they beat 53-44. Valley held a slim 24-23 lead at halftime.

Democracy Prep
The Blue Knights bested Western in their only game last week 53-33.
