The beloved Mudd Volleyball fundraiser is getting set to return after a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The popular event is scheduled to be held at the Eureka Resort on September 18, 2021.
The Rotary Club has been holding this fundraiser for the past six years.
Though the event is still a few months off, organizers are saying that now is the time for local teams to get ready for this big tournament. “Save the date!” encouraged Rotary Club President Linda Gault.
“Right now, we are looking for sponsors. getting teams together and rounding up volunteers to help on the day of the event.”
Teams will consist of six players at a cost of $210 per team. All participants receive a t-shirt. The shirts have been time tested to wash well after being rolled in mud.
The Rotary club is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization and there are many ways to support the Rotary Club with this fundraiser. Sponsorships start at $250 to $500 depending on advertising level. Email for more information to mesquiterotarynv@gmail.com. Donations are tax deductible.
The monies raised for this event, each year, help Rotary support local youth with scholarships, leadership camps and high school level interact clubs. Rotary partners with and supports, the Special Olympics, Virgin Valley Food Bank , Salvation Army, Mesquite Reads and many other local causes.
The Mudd Volleyball event is free to spectators and the crowds get larger every year. This year’s event will include two DJ’s.
