Jeff Hobbs, the President of the Southern Nevada Racing Association and the man behind the temporary race track being built at the Clark County Fairgrounds, announced last week the selection of the new Moapa Valley youth race team.

The drivers consist of three local residents, one youth from Henderson and another from Las Vegas. Together these racers will make up the team of the Moapa Valley Rockets.
“We picked kids who we knew would really represent the sport of racing in a positive light,” said Hobbs. “Didn’t matter whether they were a rookie or a pro, we wanted to make sure they were making the sport look good.”

Lincoln Evans of Logandale, is 15 years old and a MVHS sophomore. Lincoln has lived in Logandale since he was one year old. He has been racing most of his life from over-voltage power wheels as a toddler to four wheelers and side by side(s) growing up.

Lincoln is an avid mountain biker and loves competing. He just completed the 2021 NICA
