3A Football Around the State (September 15, 2021)

Northern 3A last week

Truckee at Churchill County
Churchill County started the season as the #1 ranked team in the 3A. They have now lost two games.
Truckee, who lost their first two games of the season, went to Fallon and travelled home with a 21-6 win and their first win of the season.
Churchill County normally has an offense which dominates the game. But they couldn’t score until 1:18 was left in the 4th quarter.
Truckee held a 7-0 lead at halftime.

The Wolverines will travel across the state to Spring Creek this week. Churchill County will host South Tahoe. Both games are Friday night.
Sparks at Incline
The Railroaders played the 2A Highlanders and beat them 19-10.

Wooster at Dayton
The Colts beat the Dust Devils of Dayton 62-16. Wooster held a 20-6 lead after the first quarter then 39-14 at halftime.

North Valleys at Elko
The North Valleys Panthers shut out the Elko Indians 23-0 in Elko.
South Tahoe has yet to play a game this year. Their game scheduled with Lowry last week was canceled.

Southern 3A last week
Rancho at SLAM
The SLAM Bulls beat the Rancho Rams 28-6. Quarterback Joseph Kuykendall threw for a touchdown, then ran for three more touchdowns scoring all four touchdowns for the Bulls. He was 14-16 passing for 188 yards and a touchdown. He ran the ball 9 times for 94 yards.

Valley at Cadence
The Valley Vikings shut out Cadence 51-0. The win was Valley’s first of the season while Cadence is still looking for their first one.

Eldorado at Western
The Eldorado Sun Devils beat the Western Warriors 22-12. It was Eldorado’s first win of the season.
