Truckee at Spring Creek
Spring Creek was looking like they might be the best team in northern Nevada’s 3A. They were 2-0 headed into the game where they were hosting Truckee who was 1-2. But Truckee beat the Spartans 39-11 improving to 2-2 having beaten both Spring Creek and Churchill County in back to back weeks.

North Valleys at Dayton
The Panthers are finding success having dropped down from the 4A a couple of years ago. They beat the Dayton Dust Devils 49-0 and are now 3-0 this year. North Valleys will travel to Truckee this Saturday for a matchup with the Wolverines.

Lowry at Sparks
Lowry has scored 134 points in the four games this season, second only to Moapa Valley who has scored 190. Lowry travelled to Sparks and held on to beat the Railroaders 39-36 last Friday night. Lowry is 4-0 so far this season and will host the Elko Indians this Friday night.

Fernley at Wooster
The Fernley Vaqueros are the defending state champion and are now 1-1 this season. Fernley beat the Wooster Colts at Wooster last week 28-22. The once powerful program known as Wooster is 1-2 this season.

South Tahoe at Fallon
Finally the Vikings of South Tahoe were able to play their first football game this season. Too bad it was at Fallon where the Vikings were beaten by the Green Wave 46-0. Fallon is now 2-2 with the win. Churchill County will travel to Dayton this week while South Tahoe will host Hug who is in the first year of the 3A after being dropped down from the 4A.

Elko at Hug
The Indians beat the Hug Hawks 48-0. The win gives the Indians a 2-2 record while the Hawks are 0-2 having allowed 69 points in the two games this year. They have scored 8 points total.

Western at SLAM
SLAM is playing their home games this year at various schools and were at Eldorado last week. They don’t have a home field but that isn’t stopping them from having a 3-2 season so far including a 52-0 beating of the Western Warriors last week. They will have a test this week at Virgin Valley who is 4-0. This will help set up the game in two and a half weeks when they host Boulder City in what figures to be the game to decide the Mountain side of the southern 3A.

Eldorado at Chaparral
The Sun Devils were beaten in the Cleat game by the Cowboys 35-22. This is one of the longest running rivalries in the state. Eldorado is now 1-3 and will travel to Cadence this Friday night.

Cadence at Valley
The Valley Vikings beat up Cadence 51-0. Cadence still hasn’t won a game having allowed 200 points while scoring only 6. Valley is 1-3 so far and will travel to Western this Friday night.
