3A Football Around the State: October 20, 2021

Northern 3A
North Valleys at Wooster
The number one team in the northern 3A, which is also undefeated at 7-0, beat the Wooster Colts 42-0 last week. Wooster is 2-5 and will end their season when they face Sparks this week. Sparks is currently in third place in the west.

Hug at Truckee
Truckee is currently the second seed in the west of the northern 3A. They handled the Hug Hawks 48-8 in Truckee. Hug has not won a game so far this year.

Elko at Dayton
The Elko Indians beat Dayton in Dayton, 41-0, to remain the top seed in the Northern 3A east. Dayton remains winless at 0-6. Elko is 5-2 overall

Churchill County at Fernley
Churchill County beat rival Fernley 45-14 last Friday night. The Greenwave is the second seed in the east with a division record of 2-1. They are 4-3 overall. Fernley is 1-1 in division play and 2-2 overall.

Spring Creek at Lowry
The Lowry Buckaroos beat the Spring Creek Spartans 38-19. Lowry is 6-2 overall and 1-2 in league play. Spring Creek is 3-3 over and also 1-2 in league play.

Southern 3A
Valley at Rancho
The winner of this game made the playoffs as the 3rd seed from the Desert Division. That winner was the Valley Vikings in a 12-7 victory. As the 3rd seed Valleywill travel to the 2nd seed of the Mountain Division. Rancho and Western have been eliminated from the playoffs from the Desert side of the Southern 3A.

Pahrump Valley at Eldorado
The Trojans are in first place in the Mountain Division. After having lost their first three games of the season they have won their last three league games with one loss. Last Friday night they travelled to Eldorado shutting out the Sun Devils, 42-0.

SLAM at Cadence
The SLAM Bulls beat Cadence 42-0 to improve to 3-1 in the Mountain Division. SLAM has the best record in the Mountain Division overall with a 6-3 record. Their only loss in the mountain is against Pahrump Valley 20-18 a few weeks ago.

Boulder City and Cadence have both been eliminated from the playoffs. Both of these teams will play each other this Friday night in their last game of the season.
