The Virgin Valley High School baseball team went 2-1 for the week ending April 1.
The Bulldogs crushed Canyon Springs 20-1 in a mercy-ruled three inning outing on Monday March 28 in Las Vegas. The Bulldogs scored 13 runs in their top of the first inning, added 4 runs in the second and 3 runs in the third for an easy outing for the Dawgs.

Adam Litzenberger led the Bulldog onslaught with two hits and 4 R.B.I.s including a double and a homerun. Stratton Waite also homered for the Dawgs and knocked in 3 runs.
Mathew Hughes and Braden Harris shared the pitching chores with Hughes getting the ‘W’.
Virgin Valley’s only loss of the week came on Wednesday against visitor Clark High School.

The Bulldogs jumped on the Clark pitcher early putting 3 runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning.

But the Chargers answered early in the second inning taking a 4-3 lead after two innings of play.
The Bulldogs recaptured the lead in the bottom of the third with two runs to take a 5-4 advantage. Then they continued to hit well taking an 8-5 lead after 5 innings of play.

The Chargers hitters would not go away, though. They put up six runs in the last two innings to take a hard fought 11-8 win over the hometown Dawgs.
Bryce Intagliata led the Dawgs with two hits and two runs batted in.

The Bulldogs finished their week with an 11-0 whipping of the Sunrise Mountain Miners on Friday April 1. Bulldog pitchers Intagliata, Martin Jordan and Jared Jensen shared a no-hitter in the win. The hurlers struck out 15 of the 16 batters they faced. Intagliata got the win.

The Dawgs put up 3 runs in the first inning on two hits. That included a big hit from first baseman Kyler Sudweeks who drove in two runs and circled the bases on errors by the Miners.

The Bulldogs added 3 more runs in the second inning as Dawg Joey Kazek walked to start the inning, Cameron Perkins followed with a single and Jared Jensen brought them both home on a triple to the left field fence. Sudweeks singled scoring Jensen for the third run.

The Bulldogs sent up 11 batters in the bottom of the third adding 6 more runs to take an 11-0 advantage after 3 innings. Jensen had a double in the inning and Curt Felix added a three bagger.

The Dawgs travel to Vegas this week to face Eldorado H. S. on Tuesday and Cheyenne H.S. on Thursday.
The Bulldogs league record stands at 3-2 and 6-3 for the season.
