Fall Sports Roundup (October 19, 2022)

VVHS Girls Soccer
The Lady Bulldogs hosted Chaparral on Monday, Oct. 10 and defeated the Cowboys 10-0.
The Bulldogs had four players with multiple goals in the evening. Natalie Isidro, Katrina Beltran, Anna Sedano and Jacquelyn Valadez-Galvez each scored 2 goals in the match. Sophie Tobler and Mersadee Corley got one apiece.
Beltrans go four assists.
The Bulldogs got 27 shots on goal in the match.

VVHS Boys Soccer
The Bulldog boys travelled to SLAM Academy on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and came away with a tie, 3-3.
VVHS senior Zach Trimming scored twice in the game. Freshman Oster Gavin scored the other one.
SLAM’s Marco Navarro scored a hat trick in the game making all three of the Bulls’ goals.
The Bulldogs are now 3-7-2 in league play.

MVHS Girls Soccer
The Pirates won a blowout victory against Cheyenne in a home game played on Monday, Oct. 10. The final score was 11-0.
Hannah Fullmer, Mallory Tobler, and Callie Bennion each scored two goals, while Brooke Sherwood, Talli Fairchild, Abbie Hammons, Fallon Yardley and Taytum Yardley all scored a goal apiece in the score-fest.

VVHS Volleyball
The Bulldogs had a busy schedule in the latter half of last week.
On Thursday, the team played a league game against Coral Academy in Las Vegas. They ended with a 3-0 loss in the match. The scores of each set were close at 21-25, 27-29 and 23-25.
The Bulldogs then participated in a weekend tournament at Del Sol High School in Las Vegas where they went 5-2 in the two day event.

VVHS went up against Amplus Academy and Chaparral on Friday evening and won both matches 2-1. But on Friday evening, the team went up against the powerhouse Spring Valley team and lost 2-0.
On Saturday morning, the Lady Bulldogs had nor problem with a Las Vegas High School team which they beat 2-0. They then went up against Somerset Sky Pointe and won again 2-1.
In the final tournament game, the Bulldogs faced Spring Valley again. And once again they lost this final match in two sets.
