Southern 3A
The regular season for NIAA Football is now complete and the playoffs will begin this Thursday night in the south.
SLAM and Moapa Valley have won the top seeds in their divisions and will have a ‘bye’ this week.
Virgin Valley, the second seed from the Desert league, will host Eldorado the 3rd seed from the Mountain division at 6 pm on Thursday night.
The winner of that game will travel to play SLAM next week.
Boulder City, the second seed from the Mountain league, will host Rancho, the third seed from the Desert league, on Thursday at 6 pm.
That winner will travel to Moapa Valley next week.
The second round games will be played Friday November 4 at 6pm.
Northern 3A
In the north, Churchill County (Fallon) is the 1# seed from the East while Truckee is the 1# from the West.
Spring Creek will host Hug in the first round with the winner traveling to Fallon next week for the second round.
Elko will host Wooster in the first round. The winner of that game will travel to Truckee next week.
The final four teams (two each from the north and south) will then face off, with the top seed from the north hosting the lower seed from the south. The top seed from the south will host the lower seed from the north.
The winners will play for the state title on Monday, Nov. 21 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Raiders will once again host the state championship games. The Raiders made this announcement on October 19.
