Another local high school senior has signed to play college sports in the next school year.
On Tuesday, Feb. 21, Moapa Valley High School senior Brooke Sherwood signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno for the 2023 season.
Last season, Brooke helped the Pirates to a 15-5-2 overall record, 9-1 in league play and a first place finish in the Desert league winning the Desert title. She scored 14 goals for 30 total pts. for the season. She was All-League.
Brooke also played Flag Football for the Pirates helping the team to reach the state title game where they were runner-up.
Brooke is excited to continue her soccer career and play at the next level.
Brooke is the daughter of Patrick and Stephanie Sherwood of Logandale.

You might want to fix the statement that Moapa won league, Virgin Valley actually won the league last year.
