Flag Football teams from both Virgin Valley High School and Moapa Valley High School will have seven representatives playing in the 3A All Star game on June 17 at the Raiders headquarters in Henderson.
Four girls from Virgin Valley will play. Aracely Lopez, who was named the 3A Most Valuable Player, will play a running back.Tyra Ludvigson will play center. Mercedes Jordan will be a linebacker. Ari Easton will play a defensive back.
The Pirates will have three all-star players in the game. Paige Fairchild and Alexa Nuckles will play as receivers. Kyndal Longman will be playing at quarterback on the team.
The head coaches of both teams – Joey Bowler of Virgin Valley and Dave Belcher of Moapa Valley – were voted as co-Coaches of the Year.
The Las Vegas Raiders will host and sponsor the event in June
Prior to the game, the Raiders will host a combine inviting all girls flag football players and girls who would like to play from junior high and high school.
