Pirate softball trounces Canyon Springs in southern regionals, 15-0

It only took three innings for the Moapa Valley High School softball team to polish off the Canyon Springs Pioneers in their second game of the southern regional tournament which was played on the Pirate field on Tuesday afternoon, May 9. When the game was called, the score was 15-0.

The Pirates scored their 15 runs with 5 hits in the game. Emma Gollahan brought home 3 runners on 2 hits. Andie Wood got 2 RBI on 2 hits.

Wood pitched all three innings for the Pirates allowing only one hit and striking out 8.

The Pirates now advance to the next round in the tournament, hosting Pahrump Valley on Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm.
