Pirate girls soccer looks to fresh faces and strong chemistry for upcoming season
The MVHS girls soccer team finished last season 10-6-3 overall and 7-3-1 against the Desert Division of the 3A Southern Region. The Pirates fell in the first round of the playoffs to second-seeded Boulder City of the Mountain Division. Both the 12-and-under and 10-and-under Moapa Valley softball teams finished their seasons with another tournament win in Price, Utah, over the weekend. Kylianne Solomon hit three home runs on Saturday. The first one was in a 7-2 win over the Kraken in the semifinals. Then she hit two in the championship game in back-to-back plate appearances. The Virgin Valley High School Girls Basketball took down Boulder City in the first round NIAA 3A Regional playoffs played Monday night at the Bulldog gym. MVHS Girls Basketball blasts past SECTA in NIAA quarterfinal
The Moapa Valley High School Girls Basketball team tore through a visiting SECTA team on Monday night, Feb. 13 in the first round of the NIAA Region tournament. The Pirates beat the Roadrunners 54-22 in the MVHS Gym. In the first half of the game, the SECTA team trailed but stayed in the running.
