Pirates advance as seniors shine
Senior night for Moapa Valley Baseball may have officially been on May 5th against Virgin Valley. However, anyone attending the game today could tell you that the real senior night happened tonight against Boulder City. The pirates all shined brightly, putting up an impressive 13 hits, with no errors in the field. The boys demonstrated the teamwork and drive they’ve strived for all season.
Lady Pirates drop from Regionals with loss to Pahrump
The Moapa Valley High School Softball team ended its season on Thursday, May 12 with a 6-4 loss to Pahrump Valley in the fourth round of the NIAA Southern Regional Playoffs. The game was played in Pahrump.
Montoya leads Bulldogs over Pirates 10-2 in 3A Tourney
Bulldog catcher Mason Montoya had a big day on Wednesday afternoon, May 11, in the Dawg Pound. He put a huge home run over the left field fence and got four RBI’s to lead the Virgin Valley Baseball team to a 10-2 win over arch-rival Moapa Valley.
MVHS Boys Volley Past Western Advancing To Semi-Finals
The Moapa Valley High School Boys Volleyball team played against the Western Warriors in the quarter-final round of the state tournament on their quest to be champions in the first year of the program. MVHS hosted the game on Wednesday, May 11, where they beat the Warriors in three straight sets.

The Virgin Valley High School Softball team rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to cap a comeback from a 6-2 deficit and defeat a scrappy Boulder City team, 8-6, on Wednesday evening May 11 at Bulldog Diamond.
